This is a lovely filigree locket pendant necklace. It is a vibrant red shape with a silver filigree design.
There is a small latch on the right hand side to open a stunning compartment. Which can be a unique cool space to store something of sentimental value. Fun fact about lockets:
Lockets evolved from ancient amulets to momentos..growing increasingly prominent by the 19th Century. Europeans designs date back to the 16th Century, where small pendants were worn to ward off evil spirits. As time passed, these pendants evolved to unique lockets where a message, pills, gemstone/crystals or a lightly perfume cloth were held inside the locket.
It is finished up with a silver plated chain and red, maroon circular beads. These components in between the chain gives it an elegant look.
This necklace closes with a silver plated lobster metal clasp and comes in a lovely white gift box!!
